Border Terriers Information about Border Terriers. The Border Terrier is a working terrier originally bred to hunt foxes and vermin in the 18th century. It is one of the most popular Terrier breeds and was officially recognised by the Kennel Club in 1920 in the Terrier Group of dogs.
